Monday

Monday. Hello.

Addi only peed in one pair of training panties today! From get-up to nap time, we had her sit on the potty every 20 minutes for 1–2 episodes of Bluey. I even made tiny little cookies as her potty-in-the-potty reward. As per usual, she’s napping while I write this, and I’m cleaning up the guest room.

I’ve been thinking a lot lately, and I’m really bummed about SCOTUS banning TikTok. I don’t believe it’s actually a “national security threat.” It feels more like an attempt to limit our constitutional right to free speech. Not to get political, but there’s a certain mango-colored man who is way more of a threat to our country than an app where people do fun, silly little dances.

Anyway, I’m cleaning the guest room. This time, I actually have ample warning that my brother is coming, so it won’t be a maze in here. The sheets are clean, and he’ll have a clean blanket, too. I also need to figure out how to treat the basement floor with enzyme cleaner before my mom’s dog stays down there, clean the rest of the house, keep up with potty training Addi, make sure Duck goes outside to do his business (in -15, no less), work out, do laundry, and somehow find time to just be a person.

The app I’ve been using to unwind is going away. I’m not switching to Meta because fuck Meta. What, it’s fine for them to sell our information, but TikTok can’t? Hooray for hypocrisy.

Whatever.

Back to productivity.

Introduction

Welcome to Mama’s Not Organized! I’m Taylor, a mom navigating the beautiful chaos of parenting, productivity, and everything in between. Here, you won’t find picture-perfect routines or unrealistic advice. Instead, I’m all about sharing real-life tips that make life a little easier (most days), delicious recipes that are family-approved, and cleaning hacks that help me survive the messes without losing my mind. I’m also on my own journey of trying to stay focused and productive—especially with ADHD in the mix—so if you’re a parent feeling a little “all over the place,” you’re in the right spot. Let’s figure out how to get through the mess (literally and figuratively) together, with a healthy dose of humor, caffeine, and compassion.

Homemade Coffee Creamer: Potty Training Edition.

Today is Monday, Happy Monday! It is definitely a day that needs a lot of caffeine, so I'm going to share my coffee creamer recipe (it kind of reminds me of eggnog)  Ingredients: 1 3/4 cups condensed milk 1 1/2 cups milk 2 tsp vanilla extract 1 cinnamon stick 1 tbsp ground cinnamon 1 tbsp nutmeg Instructions: 1. In a saucepan, combine the condensed milk, regular milk, cinnamon stick, ground cinnamon, and nutmeg. Heat over medium-low heat, allowing the mixture to simmer for a few minutes until combined.  I got sidetracked with a toddler yelling "gotta go!" (We are in the thick of potty training) so i got to sit next to the toilet while my daughter told me all about how much she loves puppies and her dada. When I got back to the kitchen the coffee creamer had cooked down to more of a syrup than the usual milk like viscosity, but that is okay, it is just more condensed now so a little goes a long way.  Life can be crazy, Mondays especially so. Mondays with toddlers? We need ...

Tiny people hacks

Today’s post is all about the best hacks I’ve discovered since becoming a mom! 1. Garment Bags for Tiny Socks: Invest in two garment bags. When you take baby or toddler socks off those tiny feet, put them directly into one of the bags. When it’s laundry time, you’ll have all the socks together, ready to wash. With two bags, you can alternate—one for clean socks and one for dirty ones. This little trick has definitely helped keep tiny socks from mysteriously disappearing! 2. Hair Oil Magic: Do you have a little one with hair long enough for those tiny elastics? I swear by hair oil! We use a spray bottle (I think it’s by OGX), and it’s a lifesaver. Not only does it keep her hair soft, but it also helps break down the rubber bands, making it so much easier to remove them without pulling or tangling. A total game-changer for those little hairdos! 3. Diaper Rash Cream Hack: When my daughter has a diaper rash, I’ve found it gentler to spread the diaper rash cream directly into the diaper rat...
