Slow, lazy, perfect Saturday

Today is Saturday, and we are being incredibly unproductive! Woke up, got all geared up in winter clothes, and "helped" Kurt shovel, which ended up with Kurt shoveling and Addi falling over a lot (hey, winter clothes are hard for a tiny person to walk in!) Addi decided NOT to nap, so will be having an earlier bed time. Kurt is playing his game on the new TV, he was actually productive. He rearranged the garage and put the smoker away. I did some toilet time with Addi, did some dishes, and fed my sourdough starter.  (Sourdough pie crust is going to be made tomorrow! Leftover pot pie!) I've been just not feeling the best mentally, also my stomach hurts so I am trying to give myself grace.

Black Friday haul

It’s Friday! Black Friday! You know, when Black Friday shopping used to be a big deal, I always wanted to go, but I never got the chance. Now it doesn’t feel as exciting. Still, our little family went out today! We got Addison a new car seat, a bunch of winter clothes, and some cute outfits, and Addi convinced Kurt she NEEDED a Bingo and a Muffin Squishmellow. We also picked up a new TV 😅 and some ZzzQuil, because I just can’t sleep without a little help. I don’t know why, but my brain just never shuts off. Overthinking 24/7, and no real chance to relax—it gets exhausting sometimes, but not enough for me to actually sleep? I don’t get it. Anyway, the only thing I have for you today is this: If you’re putting your babies or toddlers in puffer jackets, make sure to take them off before putting them in their car seat. Safety first!

Thankful and giving

It’s Thursday! It’s Thanksgiving! I just put Addi down for a nap, so now it’s time to prep the sweet potato casserole. Dinner is planned for our usual time—6:30. Kurt is handling the green bean casserole, and I’m in charge of everything else. Honestly, I prefer it that way. Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

Wednesday And Dressing(a day late)

It’s the day before Thanksgiving! I’m prepping casseroles, but here’s the plan for tomorrow: I’m making dressing (which, if you didn’t know, is basically the same as stuffing but cooked outside the bird), and Addi helped!  The way we do it (thank you for the Recipe Mom) is prepare the blue bag of Pepperidge Farm stuffing mix, then after the broth add and thoroughly mix in a tube or regular breakfast sausage! 350 about 40 minutes or until 165.  I forgot to hit publish yesterday, it was a Humira day and those tend to take it out of me.
