Today is Sunday! Happy Sunday!
Let’s talk about gratitude. Today, I’m tackling tasks I’ve been putting off—laundry, dishes, and general tidying. While these chores aren’t exactly exciting, they’ve reminded me of just how lucky I am.
The mountain of dishes in the sink? It’s evidence of a fridge full of food and bellies in this house that are happily full. I might not love washing dishes, but I’m grateful for the meals that made them dirty.
The toddler shoes scattered everywhere? They remind me how lucky I am to have a little one who is not only growing but so smart that she can put on her own shoes. The toys all over the house? They show that she’s happy, carefree, and thriving.
I’m trying to engrain this mindset in my brain: cleaning may not be my favorite thing, but how fortunate am I to be able to pick up after my little family. Gratitude turns the mundane tasks into a happier home.
